What is SPT, Inc?

Shuffles Performance Team, Inc. is our non-profit, traveling team!

It is open to ages 7-18 that have had at least 2 years of dance experience!

This team learns a 6–7-minute production dance that is performed at recital, one competition, Timber Rattlers baseball game, Herd basketball game and will have the opportunity to perform it at Disney World in Florida next summer, 2026!

We also perform at the Shawano and Clintonville Holiday parades and the Bonduel and Gresham 4th of July parades!

This class DOES require Fall & Spring commitment, one competition and 3-4 parades. You also must be enrolled in at least one class at Shuffles both sessions.

This class does NOT require an audition.

Please send us a message if you'd like to be added to the group page for more information! We also have 2 booths at Lambeau Field to help defer dance costs & help with Disney payments! Again, please let us know so we can add you to the group and get you going!

We'll be having a parent meeting at the studio on July 29th at 6:30pm to discuss potential new fundraisers, cost, time management, etc.

Why is a non-profit so important?

Dance is expensive, so a non-profit opens up more opportunities for fundraisers, grants & donations! Some things we currently do or have done in the past that are an easy way to earn money to help with expenses:

-sell business ads

-vendor & craft fair in December

- sell Ollie's Flower Cards

-sell beverages at the Iola Car Show & other events

-food & beverage booth at Lambeau Field!!!

- sell beverages at Sundrop Dayz (application pending)

-indoor rummage sale

-sell Kwik Trip carwash cards

-parade sponsors

-candy/ Seroogy sales
-firework parking at the Launching Pad
-brat/ burger sale at the Sandbar and Grill

-Dinner Dance

-Walker Forge meal fundraiser

When are auditions?

Auditions are Tuesday, July 8th, 2025

Auditions will start promptly at 5pm and go until we're done.  Please come in your dance attire and bring all of your shoes!

If you can't make it, an alternate audition date is set for July 29th, 2025. This will take place right before the parents meeting.

Just because you audition, doesn't mean you have to accept the invitation to join the teams.... it's always good to audition for EVERYTHING & then decide exactly what you would like to do. Audition experience will ALWAYS help your dancer out down the road!

If you don't like the outcome of the team, you got placed on during the first round of auditions, you are more than welcome to try again at the second audition.  Please let us know if you're going to miss the first round so we can be expecting you!

Maxx Team Regulations

The "Why" Behind the Regulations

-Each competition team with SPT has their own standards of competencies/skills. These are put in place so the choreographer can easily put skills into their competition dances with confidence that their dancers are ALL able to perform those skills.

These regulations are subject to change. Team placements are not made SOLELY on these regulations, but are also based on the character of the dancer, chemistry of the team, previous attendance, work ethic, etc. When creating teams, teachers do NOT judge dancers based on disability, injury, or other pre-discussed personal matters.

Yearly Class Requirements

MINI MAXX

-if you're competing in Mini Maxx Tap and/or Hip Hop, you have met the minimum requirement for Fall Session. You will just need to take Rec. Tap and/or Hip Hop during the Spring session. We would like you to take a tumbling class for flexibility and strength & tricks, but it's not required.

- if you are in Mini Maxx Ballet, you will be required to take a leap and turns class both Fall & Spring Session. You will be required to take a ballet class the following Spring session.

-parades and community events are required for our non-profit status.

-The SPT production is also required. The general account usually covers the cost of that class & costume, however if there is an additional balance not fundraised by the end of the season, you may be responsible for SOME of these fees.

- If you have a solo, duet, or trio you are required to compete a group dance in that style, as well.

MIDDLE, MIGHTY & MASTER MAXX CLASSES

-ALL CLASSES WILL BE REQUIRED TO TAKE LEAPS & TURNS EXCEPT FOR TAP & HIP HOP!

-if you are in a Hip Hop class, a tumbling class is required both sessions.

-The SPT production is also required for all classes. The general account usually covers the cost of that class & costume, however if there is an additional balance not fundraised by the end of the season, you may be responsible for SOME of these fees.

-if you are in Middle, Mighty or Master Maxx jazz, ballet or lyrical, you must be enrolled in a ballet class both sessions. Tumbling class is preferred too, but optional.

-if you are only in Middle Maxx or Maxx Hip Hop or Contemporary, you must take an additional rec. version of that class. For example, if my dancer competes only contemporary, I would need to sign them up for rec contemporary, as well.

-if you are only in Middle Maxx or Maxx tap, you must take an additional rec. tap class.

-parades and community events are required for our non-profit status.

-if you have a solo, duet, or trio you are required to compete a group dance in that style, as well.
